Course
Human Resources (Entry-Level)
You will start your career at the front lines of recruiting, HRBP, and similar roles at Recruit Holdings or one of its operating companies, then gain experience in HR strategy, HR operations, and other departments.
At Recruit, which upholds "Bet on Passion" (respect for the individual), you will be involved in the core work of maximizing the potential of people and organizations.
In the future, we expect you to lead areas such as formulating recruiting and HR strategy in Japan and globally, organizational development and HR system design across the group, reforming HR operations infrastructure using AI and IT, and supporting management and businesses as an HRBP who drives business growth. Regardless of years of experience, you will have opportunities from early on to take a proactive, central role in high-impact projects. The experience of talking with diverse stakeholders across the organization and leading organizational change while overcoming conflict can lead to significant growth as an HR and management professional.
Job Types
- Recruiting (new graduate and mid-career) / Talent management
- HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner)
- HR strategy and system design / Organizational development (OD)
- HR operations / HR tech and AI promotion
Examples of Work
- Recruiting and talent management: Discover and attract diverse talent who will lead the group's future, and plan and run next-generation leader development programs
- HRBP: Stay alongside business organizations of several hundred to several thousand people, designing organizational structures linked to business strategy, staffing, and promoting leadership development
- HR strategy and system design: Plan and revise evaluation, compensation, and grade systems for the entire global group (revenue of about JPY 3.7 trillion in FY2025) or for domestic businesses
- Global HR: Collaborate with overseas group companies, including Indeed in the U.S. and in Europe, and build global HR platforms and policies
- HR tech / AI-driven business reform: Advance HR data using generative AI and agentic AI, and carry out fundamental reform of recruiting, evaluation, and labor operations
Career Path Examples
Regardless of age or year of joining, if you keep creating impact on the organization and business, there are cases of people being appointed manager or global project leader in their twenties.
Recruiting → Strategy & Global (example)
Year 1: Assigned to the New Graduate Recruiting department. Planned tactics for building the applicant pool in Japan, and handled operational improvement agendas in the HR Tech department.
Year 2: Assigned to the recruiting strategy team, overseeing overall recruiting strategy, headcount, initiatives, and budget. Also served on the Global Recruiting Team.
Year 3: Managed promotion strategy for the Global Recruiting Team. Led, in discussion with management, changes to the organizational structure for global business expansion and the recruiting of next-generation leaders.
Year 4: Launched an internship program and a global hackathon aimed at recruiting and developing next-generation leaders, in collaboration with Indeed in the U.S. Involving Indeed's HR department and executives, took full responsibility for global recruiting strategy, from planning to execution, across Japan and the U.S. Also worked on a project to consider introducing a new selection process for the AI era.
Recruiting → HRBP → HR PdM → Strategy & Global (example)
Year 1: Assigned to the New Graduate Recruiting department. Handled running company information sessions and planning tactics for building the applicant pool in Japan. Through conversations with about 100 candidates a month, learned the essence of candidate evaluation.
Year 2: Assigned as HRBP for the HR business. As a partner to the business head, designed and executed an HR strategy working backward from business goals (workforce planning → recruiting → development → placement → turnover). Promoted to manager in Year 6; in a merger of multiple operating companies, worked with the executive board to oversee the integration of different HR systems.
Year 8: Launched a product management organization for HR functions. After building a data foundation, led the transformation of HR functions, including AI-powered support for transfers and placement and more advanced talent development processes, and received a company-wide award.
Year 11: Integrating experience in recruiting, HRBP, and PdM, appointed department head overseeing new graduate recruiting strategy. Responsible end to end, from identifying and developing future executive candidates to creating succession plans.
